If you’re getting a “white screen” with only a logo at the top vs the map (pin, photo, notes options) upon scanning an asset label, please clear your browser's cache and follow the instructions below for your device / OS:
iOS
1) Be sure that “Privacy -> Location Services” is ON.
2) You may need to reset “General -> Reset -> Reset Location & Privacy” … this will not affect any other data on your phone.
Android or other phones check your phone's settings and be sure that:
1) Location / GPS settings are on and set to 'High Accuracy'
2) NFC is turned on
Google Pixel 2 - GPS
- Navigate: Settings > Security & Location .
- Tap Location.
- Tap the switch to turn on
Google Pixel 2 - NFC
- Navigate: Settings > Connected devices .
- Tap the NFC switch to turn on
Samsung S8 - GPS
- From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Location .
- Tap the Location switch (located in the upper-right) to turn on
Samsung S8 - NFC
- From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > NFC and payment .
- Tap the NFC switch to turn on
Samsung Note 9 - GPS
- From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Biometrics and security > Location.
- Tap the Location switch to turn on
Samsung Note 9 - NFC
- From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Connections > NFC and payment.
- Tap the NFC switch to turn on
Desktop Browsers
Safari
Follow these steps to enable GPS features in Safari:
Step 1: In Safari select Safari > Preferences.
Step 2: Click the Privacy icon in the Preferences window.
Step 3: Select the “Prompt for each website once each day” option.
Chrome
Follow these steps to enable GPS features in Chrome:
Step 1: Press Alt-F to open the menu, then click Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom, click Show advanced settings, then click the Content settings button.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Location section, then enable “Ask when a site tries to track your physical location.”
Step 4: Scroll down to the Location section, then enable “Ask when a site wants to show notifications.”
Step 5: Close the Settings tab.
Edge
Follow these steps to enable GPS features in Edge:
Step 1: You don't need Edge itself for this; instead, in the Windows search bar, type Privacy, then click Privacy settings.
Step 2: Click Location, then scroll down to the section labeled "Choose apps that can use your precise location."
Step 3: Find Microsoft Edge in the list and change the setting to On.
Firefox
Follow these steps to enable GPS features in Firefox:
Step 1: Click inside the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
Step 2: Click the acknowledgement button indicating you're OK with the risks associated with changing browser settings.
Step 3: In the search box, type geo.enabled. When that setting appears below, double-click it to toggle it on (or this case from “false” to “true”).
Step 4: Close the about:config tab.
